Arturo Arellano returned to his Father in Heaven on June 7, 2023, at 19 years old. Arturo was born on February 27, 2004, to Tonyia and Jose Arellano in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the second oldest of 7 children. Arturo grew up in West Wendover, NV until 2013, when he moved with his family to Battle Mountain, NV.
Arturo was always a hard worker. He would work alongside his family to take care of their many animals including goats, chickens, pigs, horses, and dogs. He loved to care for the animals that needed extra attention, especially the young ones. It was not uncommon to find him feeding a kid goat by bottle or caring for the puppies.
Arturo had a heart of gold and showed it by helping others. He didn’t care who they were or how old they were, he just wanted to help. Arturo had a special relationship with his cousin, Devon Greening, who has special needs. He made sure to include Devon whenever possible and made him feel special and loved.
Arturo was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was ordained a Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood. He enjoyed going fishing, playing video games, wrestling around with his siblings, playing pranks on others, cooking, going for drives, and spending time with his family and friends. He also played football and baseball while he was in school. Arturo was passionate about his Mexican heritage. You could often catch him singing and dancing to Mexican music.
Arturo is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Maddox, Sr. and his sister, Angelicia Arellano. He is survived by his parents, Tonyia and Jose Arellano and their five children, Jose Jr. (Hailey),
Andrew, Ashley, Saul, and Monique. Along with his grandparents, Brent and Angelita Nash; and Rigoberto and Rosa Arellano. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
