February 15, 1959 ~ January 27, 2024 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Gilbert was born in Douglas, AZ raised in a small community of Rodeo, New Mexico until the age of 8, the family moved to Douglas where Gilbert lived with his Parents Raymundo and Maria Jesus Luzania and siblings Ana and Ray.
Gilbert attended Douglas High School where he excelled in sports. He was named football defensive lineman of year his senior year and was an outstanding wrestler. Also attended Cochise College. After College he lived in his beloved Tucson, where his children were born. Due to mine closure he relocated to Elko, NV with his young family.
Gilbert was a miner his entire life and truly enjoy going to work, where he made lifelong friendships.
Gilbert was also well known for his creations of beautiful wood cravings. There was nothing he couldn’t do once he set his mind to it.
Gilbert also enjoyed hunting and even made his own hunting rifles. Gilbert was easy going and made friends wherever he went and lived.
The pride and joy of his life were his grandchildren and was exceptionally close to his grandson Anthony.
He is survived by his wife Irma, children Juoy Luzania, Isamar Luzania, Gilbert Jr, Rudy and Christopher, and Evelyn Ortiz.
Sister Ana Luzania of Scottsdale, AZ, brother Ray Luzania of Douglas, AZ, and grandchildren Anthony, Athena, Amethyst, Austin, Rosalie, Bryan, Alison, David, Bryanna, and Alondra, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him are his parents Maria Jesus and Raymond Luzania.
