Jeremy Huntington Smokey

Jeremy Huntington Smokey was born in Ogden, Utah on March 16, 1988, to Marlaina Smokey and Steven Valencia. He resided in Fallon NV, where he grew up and went to school. 

He met Miranda in 2016. They moved to Elko in 2017, where he began working various jobs. In 2018 he started working for contractors. He was passionate for the mining industry. They welcomed their first daughter Jenesis in 2021, their second daughter in 2023, and their first son in 2025. He worked at a lot of large mines in Nevada. He began working at Goldrush this August 2025. 

Jeremy is survived by his wife Miranda, daughters Jenesis and Jazlene, and his son Jeremy Jr. He is also survived by his two step kids, Julian and Jaylin. As well as Mother Marlaina, Grandma Jenevie, three sisters, one brother, and numerous relatives. 

Proceeded in death by his father, Grandfather, and Uncles. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the Elko, NV Performing Arts building. No luncheon to follow.
