Marion Hertha Alexander

Elko, Nevada - The Elko County Sheriff’s Office would like to announce memorial service for Marion Hertha Alexander, formally known as Shafter Jane Doe, born January 3, 1968, who died on November 16, 1993.

Her identification brings long-awaiting recognition and dignity to her life. She is no longer unknown, but honored by name, and we would like to remember her with the respect and compassion she deserves.

A memorial service will be held on July 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home and Memorial Garden, 895 Fairgrounds Road, Elko, Nevada.

The Elko County Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere condolences to Marion’s family and all who knew and loved her. May Marion Hertha Alexander rest in peace.
