Nick "Alex" Serrano passed away suddenly on February 23, 2023, in Reno NV.

He was born in Elko NV to parents Ruben Serrano Sr. and Rhonda Serrano. He was the middle child of 3 boys.

He lived in Elko his entire life. He was a friend to many people as it was easy for him to make friends and those friendships lasted a lifetime. Alex, as his family called him and Nick as most of his friends called him, was very funny, had a big heart, and was a little bit of a prankster. He got into some trouble sometimes like when he set off firecrackers in the hallway of Adobe Middle School. Alex loved to go fishing and enjoyed playing football and watching his favorite team the Seattle Seahawks. He was able to travel to Seattle a few times to watch their games. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved his grandpa Ron Larsen and was devastated when he passed away in 2021. He also lost his best friend that year.

Nicolas has left behind his mother, Rhonda Serrano (fiancee Sam Garcia), his brothers: Ruben (Deb) and Armondo Serrano. His niece Luna Serrano. His fiancee Robin Jensen, his aunt and uncle Kent and Teresa Larsen, cousin and close friend Alonso (Junior) Serrano. He also leaves behind uncles Alonso Serrano Sr (Guilleermina), Jose Serrano (Mayra). Aunts Irma Serrano, Digna Serrano, and Eva Serrano. Many cousins and friends are also left behind.

He was preceded in death by his dad Ruben Serrano Sr., his grandfather Ron Larsen, grandma Pat Larsen, his best friend Lane Sanders, and many aunts and uncles.

Services for Alex will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Elk on March 14, 2023 at 10am. There will be a rosary right before at 9:30am. He will then be laid to rest at the Elko cemetery and then a lunch will be held directly after at St. Joseph's in Mater Dei Hall
