Petra Gonzalez -Amaya

Our beloved Petra Gonzalez Amaya was called by the Lord to come home September 28,2023. Petrita as she liked to be called was born August 14,1964 in Zacatecas Mexico to her parents Jesus Gonzalez and Carmen Amaya.

She lived and raised her children in Mexico until circumstances forced her to move to Elko Nevada in late 1991 -1992. She was what you call a jack of all trades. There isn’t anything she couldn’t fix or would attempt to fix. She never shied away from work. Whether she was working at Kimbers car wash, or Highland Manor, to TIC or cooking at Stockman's.
She did whatever she had to do to provide for her children.

Her love for her children and family is what gave her the strength to push forward. No matter what she had to face her faith remained strong. She will be deeply missed by her children Rosio, Manuel, Juan, Brenda and Cesar Jimenez. Most of all her beloved Esteban Tinoco and her 9 grandchildren and 2 great grand kids; her siblings, many loved nieces and nephews, and as she would say, a handful of friends. It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later. Until we are in each other's arms again may the lord welcome you with open arms we love you madre ❤️
