Robert Eric Gavert

Robert Eric Gavert, Bob, 58 years old of Wells, Nevada passed away suddenly on September 27, 2023.

Bob, and his twin Raymond, were born in Illinois to Richard and Kathy Gavert Sr. They joined older brother Richard Jr. Sister Terri and youngest brother Ronald followed and the family settled in Minnesota. With his parents’ approval Bob joined the army at 17. He was proud to serve and often spoke of his time in Germany and the friends he met there, especially Conny. He was also in the Minnesota National Guard for a time.

Bob loved to tinker on cars and different projects and could often be found helping others in need. Wherever he was he would be on the look-out for rocks and had amassed quite the collection! He could often be found with coffee cup and cigarette in hand wearing a t-shirt/flannel shirt, blue jeans and his cowboy boots.

He loved his four sons dearly and was so very proud of them. They were present at his baptism into the Christian faith which meant so much to him. He clung to his faith throughout his struggle with sobriety and was sober at the time of his passing.

Bob is survived by his wife Sarah; their three sons Cody, Austin, Jacob (Caitlin Taylor); oldest son David (from his first wife Chris Bachmann); grandchild Abroxas; father Richard Sr.; siblings Richard Jr. (Lisa Arnold), Raymond (MaryAnn), Terri, Ronald; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob was predeceased by his mother Kathy, grandparents Don and Lilian Hague, Ray and May Gavert.

A Memorial Service will be held in honor of Bob on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Hope Lutheran Church in Jordan, MN (201 Hope Ave) at 11 am.

A lunch will be served for Bob’s family and friends following the service.
