Sylvia Rottmund Duval age 72, of Wells, NV, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City, UT on April 1st surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Würzburg, Germany Sylvia came to the United States in 1976 with her three young sons at the age of 23. Sylvia continued to bless her family with her heritage and her German cooking throughout her years.
In 1985, Sylvia moved to Wells, Nevada where she met Dick and immediately fell in love. They went on to be married for 30 years and combined their two families together.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; and her daughter, Sharon Plunket, she leaves behind six children, Oliver Rottmund of Wells, NV, Michael Rottmund of Wells, NV, David (Sara) Plunket of Paradise, TX, Valerie Duval Davis of Fairfax, VA, and Kathy Duval-Virgin of Winnemucca, NV, and Ken (Lynn) Duval of Grantsville, UT; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 9th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wells, NV. Viewing will be at 10:00 am with the service at 11:00 am.
Burial will be held at a later date at Metropolis Cemetery.
